There’s nothing more precious than a newborn baby, but blink a few times and, before you know it, they’re a walking and talking toddler. No matter if you’re expecting your first baby or are well-seasoned in that thing known as parenting, one stage of your child’s life that you’ll always want to hold on to are those first few weeks.

Newborn photography has become extremely popular. Just head to any social media site and you’ll see all sorts of babies in cute outfits posed in some of the most adorable ways. If you want to capture these moments on camera, I offer just the services for you. As an experienced Raleigh newborn photographer, I know the ins and outs of taking amazing newborn pictures.

Booking Your Session & What to Expect

I have found that the best time to photograph a newborn is before they’re two weeks old. This is a time when they’re still squishy and flexible for all of the cute poses that you see in my past work. Because my sessions book relatively quickly, and because babies have a mind of their own, I recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester. Booking early gives you the best chance of ensuring I have a slot available on or around your due date.

On the day of your session, sit back and relax. Don’t worry about bringing props, as our studio has an extensive assortment of headbands, hats, and other props that are supplied as part of your session. The only thing you need to bring is a sleepy baby!

Sessions can last anywhere from 90 minutes to three hours. Once the session is complete, you will receive hand-edited digital files on a thumb drive with printing rights. I do offer printing services, including canvas and custom items, but there’s no requirement to purchase anything aside from the session.

A Little About Me

Not many people can say this, but I truly have a job that I love! The fact that I get to snuggle brand new babies for a living makes me one of the luckiest people I know. One of my biggest passions in life is newborn photography, and creating moments for parents that will last a lifetime thrills me.

As a Raleigh newborn photographer, I have photographed more than 700 beautiful babies, so you can ensure that your bundle of joy is in good (experienced!) hands. While I have three kids of my own, they’re well beyond the cute, cuddly stages, so I take great pride and joy being able to capture a baby’s precious moments on camera.
